ATLANTA — The Healthcare Convention and Exhibitors Association (HCEA) has released an updated version of its “Guidelines for Scientific Exhibits and Poster Displays: Application, Production and Presentation,” to explain the nature of scientific healthcare exhibits and poster displays and the steps required in their creative development.
The revised version of the guidelines contains new information on electronic poster presentations, an alternative to traditional displays that are often posted in .pdf format on computers at a healthcare convention. Also highlighted is new information advising readers to be aware of regulatory considerations for displaying information in scientific exhibits. Additionally, the new guidelines differentiate between a tabletop poster and a poster display, while the previous version categorized the two together.
The guidelines also contain detailed information on the suggested organization and layout of scientific exhibits and poster displays, recommendations on graphics treatment and methods for presenting large amounts of data.
