ATLANTA — Juleanne Dawson, Marketing Services Manager, Bard Access Systems, Salt Lake City, was named President of the Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) for 2005–2006. Dawson was officially installed as HCEA President during the HCEA 2005 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, June 4–7.
Regarding HCEA, Dawson explained to the conference attendees that, “HCEA is a vibrant active organization that will continue to work to unmask potentials in the industry and create successful action plans to implement them. It is the only organization in the healthcare industry that represents all of us.”
During her speech at the Annual Meeting, Dawson said, “We can step into the upcoming year with more confidence to meet and deal with the changes and challenges in our industry because we have the most updated tools and information.”
Dawson’s experience spans more than 20 years in healthcare marketing and communications. Currently, she is responsible for managing all of Bard Access Systems’ conventions and meetings. Additionally, her role includes that of trademark officer and communications manager, where she supports the product managers in developing, producing and distributing support materials and videos. Dawson holds an MBA in operations management from Regis University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Montana State University.
HCEA is the only association solely dedicated to improving the effectiveness of all conventions, meetings and exhibitions for the healthcare industry. HCEA represents nearly 700 member organizations involved in healthcare exhibitions and conventions.
