ATLANTA — HCEA’s 2006 Healthcare Convention Marketing Summit investigates the impact that the recently enacted California Marketing Compliance Law will have on healthcare exhibitors nationwide. Jeff Mittleton and Christopher Myers, attorneys at Holland + Knight LLP, will explain the California law that mandates compliance with the PhRMA Code and the OIG Guidance for healthcare companies.

The Summit, to be held January 26 at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston, will also feature the following sessions:

  • Safety and Security for Healthcare Meeting Professionals
    Presented by Charles Gary Denney
Convention security is always a concern, whether you're the one running an exhibit or you're planning the whole meeting. Popular HCEA speaker Charles Gary Denney will give attendees the latest information they need to develop a security plan for both healthcare exhibitors and meeting planners.
  • Global Congress Planning & Execution
Presented by Nancy Hoppe, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Terry Campanaro, Exhibitgroup/Giltspur
Participants will learn establishing goals, objectives and budgets to enhance company and product image globally. Additionally, participants will review a sample sponsorship package, develop budgets and prepare proposals that will be reviewed by brand teams. There will also be a brief review of country rules and regulations.
  • More sessions will be announced as they are added.
